For the moment that we have all been waiting for, Nissan has revealed their new JUKE Nismo Concept ahead of its scheduled debut at this year's Tokyo Motor Show scheduled for the first week of December. And, Charles Barker Nissan is here to clue you in on all of the heart-racing details.
Nissan has taken the already distinctive JUKE, known for redefining the B-Segment, teamed with their performance arm, Nismo, and created what is essentially a JUKE race car. Starting with the exterior, the Nissan JUKE Nismo Concept gains an air-splicing aerodynamic Nismo body kit complete with lower, redesigned front and rear bumpers; broader fenders; sill side skirts; updated rear spoiler and front grill; and larger wheels and tires. Every component optimized for, you guessed it, speed. Even the new JUKE concept's suspension is dramatically lowered.
To emphasize the new JUKE concept's capacity to pull phantom-like disappearing acts, Nissan features it in signature Nismo Pearl White with blazing red accents. It's where sophisticated meets aggressive. The theme continues inside with leather, bucket seats, red tach needle, and steering wheel and shifter specially configured to fully indulge drivers in the JUKE concept's road prowess.
Speaking on the decision to create a high-performance JUKE concept, Andy Palmer, Executive VP, Nissan Motor Co. Ltd., says, "The global sales of the Nissan JUKE has proved beyond doubt that customers are looking for something different. The JUKE Nismo Concept takes that idea to the next level. It's energetic, distinctive and highly desirable."1
What about under the hood? That remains to be seen. We said, Nissan unveiled the JUKE Nismo concept early - not that they told all...They had to leave some surprise for Tokyo.
Stay tuned for the full scoop, coming soon. And remember you can always swing by Charles Barker Nissan (1250 N Military Highway Norfolk, VA 23502) and test drive the new 2012 Nissan JUKE in the meantime.
