You might imagine the driver of a Nissan GT-R as successful, daring, edgy - one who likes to wear their passion for speed on their sleeve. We typically don't think of it as the ride of those men and women in blue whose job it is to protect and serve. But, just because we don't expect something, doesn't mean it won't come true.
EVI Corporation, a company that spends its days tricking out law enforcement vehicles with all of the necessary electronics and gear, has just released a video documenting a Nissan GT-R...fully outfitted for anything from neighborhood watch to high-speed chase.
Which law police department is lucky enough to get the GT-R pursuit car? Unfortunately that information hasn't been disclosed. We do, however, know that it is located somewhere in Northern Virginia.
Perhaps, the most amusing part of this sports-car-to-patrol-car transformation is the fact that the Nissan GT-R has the potential to be one of the worst speeding offenders out there. Not that we can blame drivers. After all, it does come with a 530-horsepower V6 engine, which just begs to be used to its full potential.
What other characteristics make the Nissan GT-R a prime candidate for a police pursuit car? Well, there are many. Among the most compelling are ATTESA E-TS all-wheel brakes, Nissan /Brembo braking system, 20-inch RAYS aluminum forged lightweight wheels, driver-configurable Multi-Function Display system, and integrated LED daytime running headlamps.
